This is my personification poem, it is in free verse form, and the speaker for this poem is a pencil. The message that I wanted to display in this personification poem was that the simplest and most honest people can be the most successful. I displayed this power in by showing how a pencil is one of the greatest inventions of all time. I did this by explaining all the incredible power a simple pencil has. In the process I used personification, similes, and imagery.
Power in Simplicity
I am one of the greatest, Yet most simple inventions to date. I have no tricks Or lies that I try to hide. I glide across my surface Like a bird through the air. When I run I leave crisp lines, Lines that have power. These lines have the power to begin, These lines have the power to end. What power I carry within myself. Within my simple self. |
